How Speech2Mail Works

Speech2Mail turns voicemail-to-email audio into searchable transcripts, summaries, and contact details without requiring a phone system replacement.

1. Voicemail arrives

Your phone system sends a voicemail email with an attached audio file, or a dedicated mailbox receives the voicemail email.

2. Speech2Mail processes it

Speech2Mail reads the audio attachment and generates the transcript, summary, and configured analysis.

3. Users read it

The result is delivered as a clean email workflow, making missed calls easier to search, scan, and respond to.

SMTP forwarding

The PBX or hosted phone system sends voicemail email directly to Speech2Mail. This is usually the preferred model when available.

IMAP mailbox intake

Speech2Mail monitors a dedicated mailbox where voicemail emails arrive. This is useful when direct routing is not practical.
