Supported Phone Systems

Speech2Mail works with phone systems that can send voicemail audio by email. That includes many PBX, VoIP, hosted phone, and MSP-managed environments.

PBX and VoIP systems

Speech2Mail is designed for voicemail-to-email workflows from platforms such as 3CX, FreePBX, Avaya IP Office, Allworx, Vonage, RingCentral, Nextiva, Zoom Phone, GoTo Connect, 8x8, Ooma, OnSIP, Yeastar, Mitel, Microsoft Teams Phone, and other SIP or hosted VoIP systems.

SMTP forwarding

When a phone system can send voicemail email directly, SMTP forwarding is the preferred intake model. It is simple, fast, and easy to repeat across customer sites.

IMAP mailbox intake

When direct SMTP routing is not practical, Speech2Mail can monitor a dedicated mailbox and process voicemail emails that arrive there.

Built for practical telecom environments

Many organizations already receive voicemail as an email with an audio attachment. Speech2Mail fits into that existing workflow instead of requiring a phone system replacement or expensive PBX transcription license.

  • Useful for MSPs and telecom providers managing multiple customers.
  • Supports business voicemail transcription, summaries, and contact extraction.
  • Helpful for Vonage voicemail-to-email customers who receive recordings but still need searchable transcripts.
  • Useful for RingCentral, Nextiva, Zoom Phone, GoTo Connect, 8x8, Ooma, OnSIP, Yeastar, and Mitel customers who receive voicemail audio by email.
  • Works with English demos and live multilingual configurations.

Supported Systems FAQ

Does Speech2Mail require a specific PBX?

No. Speech2Mail is PBX-agnostic. If the system can send voicemail audio by email, it can usually be connected through SMTP forwarding or IMAP mailbox intake.

Can live accounts support multiple languages?

Yes. Live accounts can be configured for multiple languages and translations, such as English to French, Dutch to German, and other customer-specific language pairs.
